Climate Foundations

SPLC's Climate Foundations coaching course equips procurement, supply chain, and sustainability professionals with the knowledge, tools, and strategic approach they need to develop and reach meaningful greenhouse gas reduction goals.

Every procurement team needs to grasp the basics of greenhouse gas accounting and reduction strategy, and build effective programs to drive and support meaningful supply chain emissions reductions. That’s where Climate Foundations comes in. Climate Foundations is a comprehensive virtual training and coaching program specifically designed for professionals focused on addressing the climate impact of their organization's spend  — providing basic climate knowledge, tools, and strategic insights to move organizations forward.

The Climate Foundations program is led by a team of experienced sustainable procurement practitioners and invited climate experts. SPLC brings our own long experience with strategic sustainable procurement to support participants in prioritizing and strategizing action on highly relevant categories and suppliers.  And for orientation to critical climate topics - greenhouse gas accounting methodology, supplier reporting and engagement, and evaluation of carbon offsets -  we partner with leaders in climate strategy, including the World Resources Institute, CDP, and the Yale University-born Carbon Containment Lab.
