Sweta Das

Sweta has twelve years of atmospheric science and meteorology research experience with strong understanding of data analysis using statistical techniques and numerical model simulations. She is experienced handling large volumes of climate data - both historical and model outputs. She has prepared complex and concise reports and forecast summaries for funding agencies and collaborated with universities and federal agencies. Sweta worked at India Meteorological Department on an Agrometeorological project and worked as a student forecaster in a NASA project (CPEX 2017).

Sweta completed her PhD in Meteorology from Florida State University. After finishing PhD, moved to Oregon and did her Postdoc at Portland State University focusing on extreme precipitation related weather activities over Pacific Northwest in collaboration with SCRIPPS, San Diego.
