CHARME Launch: Collectively Decarbonizing the Health-MedTech Supply Chain
Please join us to celebrate the launch of the Collective Healthcare Action to Reduce MedTech Emissions collaborative (“CHARME”). CHARME is a new industry collaborative convening health systems, medical device and equipment suppliers, distributors, GPOs, and other key industry stakeholders to identify, test, champion, and adopt specific actions to reduce emissions from the MedTech supply chain. CHARME participants will work collaboratively in alignment with a 24-month decarbonization roadmap defined in the white paper Catalyzing Collective Action to Decarbonize Healthcare Roadmap for Health Systems and MedTech Suppliers, published in May by Kaiser Permanente, Health Care Without Harm, and Accenture.
In this session, we will discuss how CHARME will address a gap in current industry initiatives focused on the supply chain for medical devices and supplies, which makes up 7% of the health sector’s US footprint. This action-oriented, 24-month initiative will focus on the actions necessary to decarbonize at the pace and scale required to meet individual and industry climate goals. Speakers will include representatives from leading health systems and suppliers who have committed to this initiative.
